HCDDS Superintendent Alice Pavey received the Ron Kozlowski Advocacy Award from Ohio’s Advocacy and Protective Services, Inc. (APSI).

Alice has 30 years of experience in the DD field, and she for Hamilton County Developmental Disabilities Services since 2008. In July, APSI named her the recipient of the Ron Kozlowski Advocacy Award, which is given to an individual that demonstrates a lifetime achievement in advocacy for individuals with developmental disabilities and has a long-term connection with advocacy efforts within the developmental disability service system.

“Her leadership, creativity, passion, and humility shined through in each of these positions and is what most of her colleagues remember her for,” APSI said about the award honor. “Despite Alice’s high-profile roles, she is known for her true humility. She is a lifelong and committed advocate and will always be known for this.”

In addition to her current role as Superintendent, Alice fulfilled many other roles at HCDDS, including Assistant Superintendent of Residential and Family Services, Director of Medicaid Waiver Services, Case Management Specialist, and Supported Living Options Specialist.

Congratulations, Alice!
