Every year we compile a list of summer camps for people with and without disabilities. This year, one of our Annual Plan goals was to partner with the Down Syndrome Association of Greater Cincinnati and local camp directors’ team, to train and support camps to build capacity for campers with all abilities.
“The availability of summer camps that are inclusive of campers of all abilities is extremely important for children and their families,” said Dawn Freudenberg, Director of Planning, Innovation, and Quality. “We’ve been excited to partner with the Down Syndrome Association of Greater Cincinnati to empower more local camps to be more inclusive, and to empower families to advocate for their campers.”
