Tom Weber always strived to be a good man, just as his late mother wished. Weber, 58, takes pride in his home and finds joy in helping others. He is known for his considerate nature, greeting strangers with kindness, and always wishing them a good day.
His weekly highlight is a trip to his favorite restaurant with his caring and dedicated staff from Caring Angels. “They are caring and loving and helpful in every way,” said Weber’s sister, Susan. “Tom requires constant supervision because of seizures and possible falls.”
Weber lives alone in a condo in Colerain Township and receives 24/7 support services. He also helps Green Township staple, collate and prepare the annual membership mailings from his home. When he’s not volunteering, Weber likes going to Reds games, watching Bengals games, and going to horse races or the casino, where he spends most of his time to wish everyone he meets “good luck,” and “I hope you win.”
His meticulous organizing and assembly skills shine through as he maintains his collections of Pokémon and sports cards. His sister Bonnie adds that Weber’s direct support professionals “really care about Tom” and want him to fit in and enjoy the world around him.
“Caring Angels is a really amazing provider agency who has gone above and beyond for people, and they are always willing to take on some difficult cases,” said Abby Lewis, Weber’s service and support administrator.
