My Life – Spring 2023

The newest issue of My Life magazine has arrived! We have features about advocacy, getting active and making connections, and planning your next vacation.

Our cover story is about local authors with disabilities who write about everything from art and dinosaurs to personal journeys and experiences. They talk about their stories and why they wanted to publish a book.

Marisa Conners shares style trends to help you plan your spring wardrobe and we also talk to NEA Big Read author Rebekah Taussig about her book, Sitting Pretty: The View From My Ordinary Resilient Disabled Body.

Look out for free copies available in our buildings, throughout the community, and at the library branches in Deer Park, Blue Ash, Anderson Township, Monfort Heights, College Hill, Mt. Healthy and Mariemont. You can also find the digital flipbook here or you can download a PDF here.

The audio version is coming soon – thanks to our partnership with CABVI. You can also access this on the Amazon Echo by Alexa.  Say, “Alexa, open Cincinnati Radio Reading Services”.  Then say, “Alexa, Play My Life Magazine”.  To hear previous My Life Magazines, say “Alexa Previous”.

If you have questions, comments, or story ideas for future issues, send us a message at magazine@hamiltondds.org.

My Life is created by and for people with disabilities in our community. Each issue will include a letter from our superintendent, Leia Snyder, along with stories from people in our community and events you’ll want to put on your calendar.
